An immediate challenge
I joined the Colusa Indian Community’s effort to complete a cogeneration plant after more than 50 annual utility outages disrupted operations and community life.
For more than two decades, I have helped transform energy infrastructure into resilience, institutional capacity, and greater control over the future.
Explore the work ↓First through what it delivers. Then through the confidence it creates.
My work has centered on building the systems, organizations, and partnerships that allow Tribal communities to control their own energy future.

I joined the Colusa Indian Community’s effort to complete a cogeneration plant after more than 50 annual utility outages disrupted operations and community life.
We commissioned a Tribally owned microgrid and began building the technical and organizational capacity required for true energy independence.
The Tribe formed its own utility authority, developed operating capability, and disconnected from the incumbent electric utility.
I helped create and scale Colusa Indian Energy to pursue complex energy development, engineering, and economic opportunity across Indian Country.
The most meaningful recognition comes from the communities and institutions whose futures are tied to the decisions being made.

I have spent much of my career translating complex energy and infrastructure questions for Tribal leaders, policymakers, industry audiences, and the public.

Technical performance matters. The institution left behind matters more.
Reliability is not a product. It is the result of ownership, accountability, and operating discipline.
Assets create capability only when governance, people, and long-term operations develop with them.
Control over critical infrastructure expands the range of futures a community can choose.
“The hard part is rarely the technology. It is creating enough alignment and trust for the technology to succeed.”
